Early Learning Center At the Early Learning Center and United Summit Children we believe children learn through play. With play children develop strong motor skills, learn to share, and enforce positive emotional, intellectual and social development. Through nurturing, respect, love, and tender care, children can develop in all developmental domains while at the same time enjoying being a child. We believe children have the right to the highest quality program available to them. Through a knowledgeable staff, good health and nutritional practices, involvement and collaboration of parents, and sensitivity to cultural differences, we strive to maintain that high quality. At United Summit Children, we realize that the child does have the hardest job of all... learning. United Summit Children provides educational experiences for children from six(6) weeks to five(5) years old. We provide a safe, healthy, and inviting environment in a state-licensed child care center. Our center is licensed to accommodate eight(8) children under the age of two(2) and sixteen(16) children between the ages of 2 and 5. United Summit Children provides developmentally appropriate toys and activities based on each child's interests. In the warmer months, children are able to play on our fenced-in playground which provides good exercise to build strong muscles and healthy bones. We follow staff to child ratios as established by the West Virginia State Licensing Requirement for Child Care Centers. The Infant/Toddler room maintains a 1:4 ratio and the Preschool room maintains a 1:8 ratio. Staff is CPR and First-Aid certified. Our hours of operation are from 6:30a.m. to 6:00p.m., Monday through Friday. |
