Service Coordinator

Harrison County

    Applications/resumes/requests for transfer are currently being accepted for the position of Service Coordinator for the I/DD Waiver program in Harrison County.  The incumbent would be expected to provide service brokerage and coordination of comprehensive services to clients and their families based on the client/family's needs, informed choice and preference of services. The incumbent also ensures continuity of service provision through the coordination of United Summit's services and the services of all other human service providers with essential linkages to family, friends, housing and income.



To fulfill the requirements of this position, a Bachelor's degree or a Master’s degree in a human service related field (e.g. Psychology, Criminal Justice, Board of Regents, Recreational Therapy, Political Science, Nursing, Sociology, Social Work, Nursing, Counseling, Teacher Education, Behavioral Health, Liberal Arts) is preferred.  Other Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees will be considered if the degree enables the incumbent to be credentialed under Medicaid standards. Previous experience working with a developmentally disabled population is required and knowledge of Title XIX is preferred.  The incumbent must also possess a valid driver's license, have reliable means of transportation and vehicle insurance as local travel is an integral part of this position.

This is a non-exempt Grade 14 position.

SALARY RANGE:   $10.10/hr - - - $13.53/hour
